Toonkunstkoor Amsterdam (TKA) is a concert choir which was founded more than 175 years ago. In its illustrious past, Toonkunst had strong ties with the renowned Concertgebouw Orchestra and contributed to productions led by great conductors such as Willem Mengelberg (1871-1951), Otto Klemperer (1885-1973), Bruno Walter (1876-1962), Eugen Jochum, Eduard van Beinum and Bernard Haitink (1929).

Presidente 1907-1929 is Jo Beukers-van Ogtrop (1865-1948).

Traditionally TKA provides the performance of the St. Matthew Passion on Good Friday in the Amsterdam Royal Concertgebouw. In 1899 Willem Mengelberg (1871-1951) began this tradition.
