Toblach is a comune/Gemeinde (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located in the Puster Valley about 70 kilometres (43 mi) northeast of the city of Bolzano, on the border with Austria.

At once both the cultural centre of Alta Pusteria/Hochpustertal valley and the gateway to the Dolomites, Dobbiaco is located amidst two nature parks at the entrance to the wildly-romantic Höhlensteintal valley.

Even Gustav Mahler was impressed by the inspiring and almost unreal beauty of the region. As clear as glass and shimmering in blue and green, the Toblacher See lake at the beginning of the valley both inspires movement and invites holidaymakers to relax.
